They parted ways as a couple more than a year ago - and now Kris Jenner has filed for divorce from her estranged hubby Bruce Jenner.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch has cited irreconcilable differences in her submission to the LA County Courthouse - apparently filing her papers without any lawyers.

According to TMZ, the date of their split was cited as June 2013 - with Kris requesting joint custody of 17-year-old daughter Kylie Jenner.

She also asks to retain her own jewellery along with as all assets following the date of their separation.

TMZ reports that the couple have already reached an amicable agreement behind the scenes, working out a settlement with their business managers.

Kris and Bruce have been married since 1991 - but Kris told Kathy Lee Grifford in a podcast interview that their relationship had become "unhealthy".

"We are better people and happier just spending time apart than we are spending time together. We decided this was best for our family.

"We came to a place where this isn't healthy, the way we were treating each other."
