Kristen Stewart Is Taking Up The Role Of One Of Charlie’s Angels In The Latest Reboot
Alongside Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska...
Hollywood is constantly picking up reboots, and Charlie’s Angels is no exception, with Kristen Stewart coming on board as one of the three new Angels.
Yep, the badass actress is confirmed to be taking on one of the most iconic roles in both TV and film, with Charlie's Angels starting as a hit show in the 70's, and we couldn't be more excited rn.
The hilarious Elizabeth Banks is directing the film as well as taking on the role of the Angels handler, Bosley.
When talking previously to ET Online about the possibility of taking on the role, Stewart said: “The movie should still be fun but, like, if you ground it and make it about women that really know how to help each other, it’ll be, like, perfect to release now. Like, we’re all together and strong.”
And we agree. Why not take an already established franchise and try and make it better and more empowering? The audience is there.
With Stewart rumoured to be taking the lead, and having more Hollywood cred, Noami Scott and Ella Balinska will be following her.
Scott previously co-starred in the 2017 Power Rangers movie, and will be starring in the upcoming live-action version of Aladdin. While Balinska is known for her roles in Casualty and Midsomer Murders, so landing a role in a franchise is huge and we can't to see more from her.
The plot of the latest Charlie’s Angels movie will surround the Angels and the Townsend Agency going global and “providing security and intelligence services to a wide variety of private clients with offices and highly trained teams worldwide”.
We’re just so ready to hear the new Angels utter “Good Morning, Charlie," but it looks like we’ll have to wait a little while, as the release date is set for 27 September 2019.
