Kristen Stewart Wants Everyone To Know She Doesn't Care About Winning An Oscar

The former 'Twilight' star says she was over the moon with her César award win for 'Clouds of Sils Maria'...

Kristen Stewart has stated that unlike many actresses, she’s not set her heart on winning an Oscar.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the former 'Twilight' star claimed that she’s set her sights on the director’s chair, compared to bagging herself an Academy Award.

“I’ve taken so much s**t that I’m just like: ‘I’m not the winner!’ I’m not gonna be let down when I don’t get the pat on the back. I’m totally used to the kick in the ass.”

Robert Pattinson’s ex went on to explain that it was this attitude that caused her to be extra surprised by her victory at the 40th César Awards (France's Oscars), where she received the Best Supporting Actress prize for her role in 'Clouds of Sils Maria'.

The win made Kristen the first ever American actress to take home the accolade, with the star claiming: “Oh, man, it blew my head off, to be honest.

“I couldn't believe that I got nominated, and then obviously I really, really couldn't believe that they gave it to me, because those people rigidly dole out praise, especially to Americans."

She jokingly went on to add: "It felt really good… I would prefer a French Oscar [to an American Oscar].”
