MTV2 Remembers Kurt Cobain
On the anniversary of his death, MTV2 are remembering one of the most influential figures in modern rock, Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain
This Kurt Cobain, and MTV2 will be remembering him with an hour long special that include his band's top 10 tracks, this Thursday at 11pm.
On March 30th 1994 Cobain checked himself in to the Exodus Recovery Centrein LA, to engage in a drug rehabilitation programme. On April 1st, he checked himself back out again, by climbing over a six foot high wall, and flying back to his home town of Seattle.
He was spotted in various locations around the city over the next few days, but tragically shot himself on April 5th.
Through his remarkable performances, not least his MTV Unplugged session, Cobain has assured his place in rock history.
Krist Novoselicand more notably Dave Grohl went on to success post Nirvana, but we can only dream of what the three could have accomplished together, given more time.
