Did Kylie Jenner Reference Butterflies In Baby Stormi's Name After All?
There's a fan theory doing the rounds on the internet that *does* sort of stack up.
Before it was announced that Kylie Jenner had decided to name her first child Stormi Webster, fans had been convinced that she was sending everyone subliminal messages in her pregnancy video with a bunch of butterfly motifs.
While these rumours were soon put to rest with the seemingly non-butterfly related name, a bunch of fans have now spotted a pretty wild connection related to a theory called the butterfly effect – which argues that one small incident can have a huge effect on an unrelated outcome.
Let's get checking out a bunch of times Kylie Jenner proved she was the Queen of selfies...
The saying goes that if a butterfly flaps its wings on one side of the Earth, it triggers a storm on the other side of the planet. Hence the name Stormi. This might seem like a pretty big reach, but it’s supported by the fact Travis Scott has a track on his album with the very same title.
Fans were losing it over the connection, writing: “I think Kris confirmed Stormi! it’s a play on the butterfly effect- a butterfly’s wings can cause a storm around the world.’
Another added: “The saying goes if a butterfly flaps its wings in one part of the world it creates a ripple and a storm happens in another part of the world…. Travis Scott made song called butterfly effect 9 months ago, 9 months later guess who pops out? STORMI BITCHES I CRACKED THE CODE.”

Of course, it’s possible that we’re all reading way too much into what might actually be a totally random name. All we know is that the authorities probably have a lot of information to sift through here.
