Kylie Jenner and sister Kendall have released the first details about their debut novel.

Rebels: City Of Indra, which the pair co-wrote with author Maya Sloane, is set in a dystopian future and features 'two super-powered girls, Lex and Livia, who embark on a journey together, not realising their biggest danger might be each other', reports E! Online.

Speaking about the book, Kendall said: "Kylie and I love the creative challenge and are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to share this story."

The book's publisher Karen Hunter added: "The story that Kendall and Kylie crafted is a thrill ride — one that their fans and fans of this genre won't be able to put down."

Earlier this week it was reported that Kanye West, fiancé of Kylie and Kendall's half-sister Kim Kardashian, was planning to help the sisters launch a music career.

The Sun reported that the rapper planned to fly the duo to Paris for a recording session and was already choosing outfits for their stage debut.

Kylie and Kendall's novel is scheduled for release on 3 June.
