The internet is often a slightly weird place, no more so than when it becomes obsessed with Vines that involve Kylie Jenner mistaking a piglet for a chicken.

But that's exactly what's happened thanks to a mistake King Kylie made on 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' and has actually now led her to take to Snapchat to explain that yes, she does know the difference between the two animals after all.

If you missed it, the video clipcame from the ep where Kylie had just moved into her new house and mum Kris Jenner turns up with a teeny squishy little piglet as a housewarming present. "Is it a chicken?" Kylie asks as she comes down the stairs to see the bundle of joy, leading to the creation of the meme.

While the vid is clearly hilarious, people clearly need to give Kylie a little more credit and many have been tweeting her asking how she can not tell the two rather different animals apart.

"Everyone keeps tweeting me this one Vine of my mom getting me a pig, and I mistake it for a chicken," Kylie says, sitting down for some real talk on her Snapchat story."But here's the real story behind me thinking that it's a chicken. So I love chickens. My mom asked me what I wanted for my housewarming gift and I told her I want chickens. I want a chicken coop. I'm, like, dying to have a chicken.

"We had, like, over 10 conversations about it, so when I saw her downstairs with something all wrapped up in her arms, and I was upstairs, of course, I assumed that it was a f***ing chicken. I never asked for a pig. We had, like, 10 conversations about this damn chicken."

Classic mum move, picking the wrong animal, isn't it?

"I just wanted to make the public announcement that I do know the difference between a chicken and a pig, so you guys don't have to worry," Kylie concluded.

"All my friends are private Snapchatting me about how funny they think the Vine is. Thanks guys, I get it. I look real f***ing stupid."
