Kylie Minogue Joins Forces With Facebook To Preview New LP

Aussie pop princess was quizzed about her twelfth studio album 'Kiss Me Once' by her The Voice UK co-star Ricky Wilson...

Wilson then quizzed her about Enrique Iglesias collaboration Beautiful, where Kylie told how the song reminds her of a special someone from her past, telling us that she cried after first hearing the tune in Paris. She went on to tease that she's "looking forward" to performing it live with Enrique.

Those present at the event were also treated to some of Kylie's tantalising trademark moves when discussing Sia-penned tune Sexercise, leaving Ricky a little hot under the collar as she poked fun at the "saucy" song.

She then spoke about Pharrell Williams tune I Was Gonna Cancel, having a bop along in her seat as mystery man James pressed play.

Kylie went on to admit that the song was born out of an "embarrassing" situation - telling Ricky how she was having a bad day and burst into tears when meeting Pharrell at the studio, and after a "heart-to-heart" with the super-producer, she was glad she didn't cancel after all.

The star went on to add that it is now, “the most positive song on the album".

[related]Speaking of title track Kiss Me Once - which she described as "old-school Kylie" - the 45-year old confessed to having an epiphany, and that her desire for ‘new horizons’ resulted in her changing her management team and trying new things – such as The Voice UK.

Kylie then explained how she spent New Year's Eve alone, and that it was the "best ever" night, putting an end to a difficult 2013 and left her feeling calm and happy for the year ahead.

Taking some questions from fans, Minogue revealed what she looks for in a man, stating he must have "charisma" and "humour" but most importantly, he would need to be able to cope with the "merry dance" her career entails.

As the event came to an end Kylie talked about the challenge of balancing her career and private life, saying: “You have to try and find the sweet spot between what you do and putting yourself out there and connecting with the world.

"Sadly you can’t decide when to have it on and off."

Kiss Me Once is out on May 17.
