Kylie Minogue Opens Up About Romance With Late Michael Hutchence

Pop princess tells Aussie GQ magazine that the INXS star "was so many firsts in my life"...

Kylie Minogue has spoken openly about her relationship with INXS frontman Michael Hutchence in a new interview with Australian GQ magazine.

The Into the Blue singer - who started dating the late rocker in 1989 - told the publication that she still misses Michael and that his funeral was the first she had ever been to.

Minogue - who graces the cover of the mag, posing with twin models Jordan and Zac Stenmark - spoke fondly of Hutchence, saying: "Let’s just say I was 21 and my eyes were open to the world.

"You want to experience everything and I couldn’t think of a better person to, you know, take those first steps into the big wide world with...'

Speaking of his funeral - held in Sydney in 1997 - Kylie recalled: "I remember thinking that at the time, that of course his was the first funeral and the first kind of thing like that because Michael was just so many firsts in my life … He was. Yes, he was."

Kylie and Michael dated for two years before he swapped the hot-pant wearing star for Danish model Helena Christensen, but Minogue remained friends with him until his untimely passing.

The rocker has found dead in a hotel room at the Ritz Carlton Double Bay in 1997.
