Kylie Minogue 'Quits Music For Acting'

Aussie pop princess reported to have given up music after 25 years...

Kylie Minogue is reported to have given up singing after a 25-year pop career.
The former Neighbours star-turned-pop princess is claimed by The Mirror newspaper to have parted company with her long-term manager Terry Blamey.
And the paper claims that the 44-year-old wants to concentrate on acting for now.
A source said: "Kylie's decision to stop recording for the time being and part company with Terry has come as a massive shock.
"Ever since she broke into the charts in the 80s Terry has been the man behind the scenes. But now Kylie is saying she wants to pull back from the pressures that come with a music career.
"She says she's determined to devote more time both to herself and to her career as an actress."
Kylie has been celebrating her quarter of a century music career over the last year, staging a series of "K25" events around the world which climaxed last month with a sell-out gig at London's O2 in which she reunited with Jason Donovan.
The paper also suggests there were tensions between Kylie's manager Terry and her dad Ron over the direction that her career should take.

Kylie said just a month ago that she was thinking of [uuid=0212fa58-380d-44b2-a260-67f061235001]getting her hotpants out of retirement[/uuid].
