Kylie Turns Author

Kylie Minogue is writing a childrens book.

The singers picture book, The Showgirl Princess, will be published by Puffin in September. Its aimed at girls aged six and over, and features exclusive photos taken by her stylist William Baker.

The Showgirl Princess will have a slightly Kylie-esque storyline " its about a girls rise to fame on the stage.

Kylies following in the footsteps of Madonna, whose childrens book, The English Roses, became a bestseller.

Although Kylies been out of the spotlight since being diagnosed with cancer last May, shes planning to be back on stage in her native Australia by the end of the year.
