The In For The Kill singer, who has been put in the same electro-pop bracket as Little Boots’ Victoria Hesketh has offered suspiciously sympathetic words of comfort to the Remedy singer.

Jackson has claimed that the media creates too much hype about new artists and referring to Little Boots she told The Daily Star: "The reaction she got was so unfair. Hype can be a very dangerous thing, it can accelerate people's expectations,"

Despite Elly making comments about Little Boots, La Roux have revealed that they are in talks to work on collaboration with Heaven 17.

Elly also told the tabloid paper: “Glen Gregory, the lead singer with Heaven 17, heard I was a fan and has been in touch. We email each other a lot. We finally met at an awards do recently, he's lovely."

She added: “Greg and Ben (Elly’s band mate) are going to meet up to have a coffee and discuss some things. We'll see what happens."
