Labrinth: "I Can't Handle Cheryl Cole!"
EXCLUSIVE | It seems the Earthquake star has a crush on Chezza...
The singer-songwriter/producer, who is gearing up to unleash his new single Girls Aloudstar's message, the 22-year old told us: "When Cheryl said she was a fan - as well as Taio Cruz andEd Sheeran - it was insane!"
"For me, the track is about making an earthquake and having people look my way because of how much noise I'm making. Sometimes, the one that shouts the loudest is the one that gets heard so, earthquake is shouting as high as it can."
He added: "The way people are responding is amazing. It just makes me feel like ‘wow', I'm so chuffed."
Speaking of whether he feels Chezza's tweet may attract some of her fans to his music, Lab said: "I'm not just an urban artist. Let The Sun Shine is a commercial record so I have pop fans already but I'm very sure that Cheryl probably threw some my way – hopefully some Cheryl look-a-likes!"
After dedicating Dr. Hook's When Your In Love With A Beautiful Woman to Cheryl, we then asked Labrinth whether he would collaborate with the 3 Words singer, to which he replied: "I think she’s too much for me, I can’t handle Cheryl. I think she’s a nice woman and she’s got her talent but I think she’s stronger without me."
Labrinth's new single, Earthquake, is out on Sunday 23rd October.
