MTV News' very own Bluey Robinson was on hand to kick off proceedings as the choreographed light show was projected onto the city's iconic Council Chambers, ahead of the 2014 MTV EMA on Sunday (November 9).
The motion piece - which has been created by production studio Found - will be replayed on Saturday, November 8 from 4pm until 11pm.
Speaking of the project, Labbers told us that he thought it "went down a storm" adding that the whole experience was "really cool".
He also spoke about our host Nicki Minaj, joking: "She’s got her Michael Jackson diva thing going on so I’m sure she’s going to be a diva for the EMAs."
