GaGa To Release Limited Edition Born This Way Single
Proceeds from the special copies will be donated to gay rights groups...
Lady GaGa has announced that she will be releasing a limited edition version of her new single Born This Way to raise money for gay rights.
According to Billboard.com, Lady G is planning to sell the single at US retailer Target, after they agreed to donate proceeds of the track to gay rights groups.
GaGa has already met with with executives at Target, urging them to change their views after they previously supported anti-gay political candidates and demand that they support equal rights charities.
After their meeting, Target bosses agreed to support the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, with Lady G allowing them to sell a limited edition copies of Born This Way in their stores.
Speaking to Billboard, the Poker Face hitmaker explained: "That discussion was one of the most intense conversations I've ever had in a business meeting."
"Part of my deal with Target is that they have to start affiliating themselves with Lgbt charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they've made in the past."
She added: "Our relationship is hinged upon their reform in the company to support the gay community and to redeem the mistakes they've made supporting those (anti-gay) groups".
