Lady Gaga Announces ARTPOP App Will Be Free

Mother monster confirmed the news via Twitter this afternoon, writing: “The ARTPOP app is Free, available in App Stores on your device. You can purchase the music through the ARTPOP app once it's downloaded.”

She followed that up by saying: “Or you can purchase the album at the music store+download the free app separately at the app store. –GAGA”
The Born This Way singer also confirmed to fans that the App will be available worldwide, and said that it was “in essence, an interactive jewel case.”
The 27-year-old star also delighted her Little Monsters by revealing that the video for her new single Applause will be released on August 19, the same day as the track!
She tweeted: “The single 'Applause' and it's MUSIC VIDEO will BOTH debut on same day. ARTPOP. 8/19 –GAGA”
Lady Gaga was recently announced as the first performer to hit the stage at this year's 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
