A source close to GaGa revealed to The Mirror: "It's always been Gaga's dream to perform as Queen. If it wasn't for Queen, there would be no Gaga. This collaboration with Brian May means the world to her."
Lady G, real name Stefani Germanotta, has previously expressed her admiration for Queen, stating that their late singer, Freddie Mercury, was "a genius."
The Telephone hitmaker claimed: "Freddie was unique - one of the biggest personalities in the whole of pop music. He was not only a singer but a fantastic performer, a man of the theatre, who constantly transformed himself. In short: a genius."

In other Lady G news, the 25-year old star has been forced to drop her new single Judas early.
Instead of the dark, synthy track premiering on 19th April, Capital FM played the tune on Friday.
GaGa tweeted this message a day before the radio station played the track: "#PawsUpForJudas! I've learned love is like a brick, you can build a house or sink a dead body."
Speaking of the song earlier this month, GaGa claimed: "Let the cultural baptism begin. If they were not who you were taught they would be, would you still believe?"
A still image, supposedly from her new Judas video has also hit the web, which shows GaGa portraying biblical icon, Mary Magdalene.
