Lady Gaga Brings Art And Pop Together On New Album

"The intention of the album was to put art culture into pop music" she reveals…

Lady Gaga has opened up about the concept behind her brand new album ARTPOP.
The wacky popstar sat down for an exclusive interview with O2 recently where she was asked how she would define the new record.
Discussing the notion of ARTPOP, Gaga dished: "In the simplest way, I would say 'the dream of these two things belonging, art and pop together, but with art in the front.' This is the sort of focus of the album."

The 27-year-old starlet also spoke about drawing inspiration from pop art icon Andy Warhol.
The Applause singer continued: "The intention of the album was to put art culture into pop music, a reverse of Warhol."
She added: "Instead of putting pop onto the canvas we wanted to put the art onto the soup can."
