Lady Gaga Confesses To Monster Cannabis Habit

Lady Gaga has revealed that she developed a heavy marijuana habit which saw her smoking up to 15 joints a day.
The pop star has been speaking frankly about her drug use in an interview with Attitude magazine - and has admitted that she became addicted to cannabis after breaking her hip.
She said: "It was a habit that eventually occurred when the pain got so bad with the hip.
"I was just numbing, numbing, numbing myself then sleeping it off, then getting on stage, killing it in pain, then getting off and smoking, smoking, smoking, not knowing what the pain was.
"F*** if I know what hurts the most, you know? I would break the habit and it would sneak back in and I would break it and sneak back in."
And the 27-year-old also claimed that unpleasant early experiences in the music biz had contributed to her hunger for the class B drug.
"Yeah it's trauma," she said. "I went through terrible experiences early in my career climbing through swine and swine of men in the music industry — just trying to get somebody to listen to my music and take me seriously as a songwriter instead of trying to get me to b**w them."
But she suggests that she has now broken free from the weed - and credits performance artist Marina Abramovic with helping her get clean.
"Marina said, 'OK, you're coming to my house — no television, no computer, no marijuana, no nothing, no food. For three days, art only. You eat only art'.
"She put me in the woods for three hours blindfolded and said, 'I need you to find your way home. We will be here silent to make sure you don't fall off any cliffs'. There were cliffs all around.
"So I was walking and I started to cry because I hadn't felt so connected to the earth for so long. Just being me, with the forest and the sound of the birds and the running water, but there was nothing but me and my pure talent to save me. I didn't fall once. I stumbled but I didn't fall."
Initially Gaga stopped smoking cannabis entirely, but she admits she has now begun using the drug recreationally again.
"I cold-turkeyed. For weeks and weeks I didn't smoke at all.
"Now I smoke a little bit at night just, you know, for fun. But not to cope — that's the difference. I'm the soberest I've ever been in the past five years."
Gaga recently revealed a new single called Dope.
