In a video leaked the star introduced the song by saying: “This is a brand new record that no one’s ever heard before and I’ve never played live.
“The song is called You And I and it’s a bit of a rock and roll tune so it will most probably never get used as one of my singles. It’s very dear to my heart.”
The Telephone singer played the song on piano and it does seem to have an Elton John glam edge.
On the chorus she sings: "He said, 'Sit back down where you belong, in the corner of my bar with your high heels on.
“Sit back down on the couch where we made out the first time, and you said to me/ Something, something about this place/ Something about lonely lights and my lipstick on your face.”
Lady G wrote on Twitter that the track was “written in NY on the piano I grew up on.”
Elton’s gothic themed charity fundraise took place on Thursday and had a gothic theme. GaGa also performed Alejandro and Speechless.
