Lady Gaga has leapt to the defence of pal Lindsay Lohan after the actress received criticism for her role as Elizabeth Taylor in Liz & Dick.
LiLo has faced negative comments from critics over her portrayal of the legendary screen icon in the Lifetime biopic, which hit TV screens in the States on Sunday (25th November).
However, Gaga seemed to be a fan of Lohan's work - praising her performance on Twitter.
Lady G wrote: "@lindsaylohan you did a beautiful job on Liz & Dick, Let no one bring u down, Liz didnt, they always try to knock the greats down a few pegs."
Gaga and Lindsay have struck up an unlikely friendship over the past few months, with the singer posting snaps of them together at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles back in July.
It was also rumoured that Lady G had cast LiLo in her new music promo, with a source telling the New York Post in August: "Lady Gaga and Lindsay caused a stir last month when they had their 'sleepover' at the Chateau [Marmont].
"Now it turns out that Lindsay will be starring in Gaga's new video from her upcoming album. Due to Gaga's superstar status, this would be Lindsay's biggest [role] by far in many, many years."
