The Do What U Want singer took to Twitter to document the "special moment", revealing how she cried when seeing Wilson's portrait for the first time.
She later noted on LittleMonsters.com: "I went to the Louvre today and saw the portraits Bob Wilson made of me. It was such a special moment.
"I wore archive Gianni and wore my hair in metallic braids. It was a day I'll never forget."
While in Paris, Gaga also stepped out with her doppelgänger Dontella Versace, as the pair donned similar black dresses and matching blonde hair.
The Applause hitmaker was the guest of honour at the designer's Atelier Versace catwalk show after she was unveiled as the face of the brand's 2014 campaign.
