Lady GaGa In Web Rant About Her Bad Year
Star thanks 'sweet fans' for sticking with her through troubled times...
Lady GaGa has been getting it all off of her chest in a rant on her own website Gaga Daily.
The pop star posted "a letter to my sweet fans" on her website yesterday, declaring that: "Today is a really happy day to me. The past year was a challenge, and I'm so happy to have my spirit back."
And she proceeded to detail exactly what had been bringing her down.
She explained: "Whether it be the record label disagreeing with me on single choices, or directors who could only create an idea of 'Gaga' or what I've 'done before' and not able to move forward, and there was also of course the incessant dragging of the most important single of my career in dead-beaten-horse-mud."
We think she's talking about the controversial similarity between her own Born This Way and Madonna's Express Yourself there, by the way.
"Then there were all the personal moments. Betrayed by lifelong friends, mentors I've had for years suddenly taking advantage of me, and a massive struggle with my body image."
But if that sounds like quite a full plate, GaGa did acknowledge that she was feeling better now.
She added: "I've grown and left most of these things behind, the monsters of fame are very real. But I wanted to thank you for baring with me a little bit."
We think she meant "bearing with me", but with GaGa you never know.
