"Love Trumps Hate"
Since the results of the US presidential debate, social media has lost the plot over the shocking news that Donald Trump had been elected the new president.
The news has also sparked protests, with thousands of demonstrators taking to the streets. A-listers who supported Hillary Clinton have voiced their disapointment, with Lady Gaga staging protests outside the entrance to Trump Tower in New York.
Gaga was spotted standing on a truck holding a sign which read: "Love Trumps Hate" and was also photographed wearing a t-shirt with the same motto emblazoned across it.
The singer also took to Twitter to offer some help for the LGBT community, with hotlines 'you can call if you're feeling panic and need help.'
Katy Perry has also taken a stand against Donald Trump, by blacking out her Twitter profile picture and header photo as part of the #TwitterBlackOut protest.
During her Twitter rant, Katy encouraged others to 'peacefully protest':
A number of other hashtags including #NotMyPresident and #ImStillWithHer have also been used as a way of showing their disapointment with the results.
