Speaking to Stephen Fry in an interview for the Financial Times, GaGa confessed that at the start of her 18-month tour, she was £3million in debt.
The 25-year old explained: "I put everything in the show and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the [tour],"
GaGa stated: "And it was funny because I didn't know! I had five No.1 singles, the Monster Ball [tour is] doing great, and they said, 'Well, you're US$3 million in debt'."
Despite admitting her money woes, Lady G's Monster Ball tour is said to have grossed an estimated $227.4million since it started in 2009, with The Edge Of Glory star claiming that her most extravagant purchases have been: "my dad's heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary."
However, Lady G may have more to add to that list following reports that she has splashed out £10,000 on royal memorabilia and wants to decorate a room in her Big Apple apartment with the merchandise as a "tribute" to her UK fans.
A spy told The Mirror: "GaGa has sent her flunkies to London to spend €11,500 on Princess Di and Wills and Kate wedding memorabilia."
They added: "She wants to set up a room in her New York pad dedicated to London and all her precious Little Monsters over there.”
