What You Missed In Music: You Can Be In Lady Gaga’s New Film, Glastonbury Additions & More
HAIM ARE BACK.
Want to be an extra in Lady Gaga’s new movie with Bradley Cooper? You can!
Do you like films? (Who doesn’t.) Do you like Lady Gaga? (Who doesn’t.) Would you like to be in a film with Lady Gaga? (Same again.)
Your wish has just been answered. Lady Gaga is inviting fans to be extras in her new film, A Star Is Born, which also stars the really-quite-good-at-his-job Bradley Cooper.
“The scenes for these days will portray a Country Western music concert," a statement read. "All you Monsters that can attend should get decked out in your most comfortable denim & boots, throw on a Stetson (leave those pink Joanne hats at home) and come out to show your support!”
Unfortunately, this is taking place in Los Angeles (which is definitely not near the UK & Ireland), but if you happen to be in the area Tuesday May 2nd and Wednesday May 3rd, tickets to take part are just $12, and all the proceeds going directly to the Born This Way Foundation.

HAIM are back!
The trio returned today (27 April) with a brand new track, news that their second album Something To Tell You is coming July 7, and brought out a music video for ‘Right Now’ directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. (PTA is the director behind the incredible There Will Be Blood, The Master, Inherent Vice and much more.)
Paul got in touch with the band as he’s a fan, but it turns out, as revealed in an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, Anderson and HAIM go back further than that…
“She would always talk about this one kid named Paul,” Haim say, talking about their mum who was an art teacher. “She loved this kid, Paul. He was very energetic.” The Paul they’re talking about from the art class? Turns out it was Paul Thomas Anderson. Small word, right? Everyone was mindblown, and now we have the live video that's playing below.
Oh, and there's a new, 'official' single dropping May 3. (Next week!)
Glastonbury adds a tonne of new names
There just aren’t many festivals that operate on the same scale as Glastonbury. It’s the largest greenfield festival in the world. There are over 100 stages. 1000s of artists. It’s mega, and the list has just grown even longer.
Glastonbury revealed the Silver Hayes line-up earlier this week, featuring legendary DJ Fatboy Slim - a Glastonbury favourite - rubbing shoulders on the poster with Avelino, Mura Masa and the actual SHAGGY. (!)
MTV Brand New 2017 nominees AJ Tracey, Nadia Rose, Ray BLK and RAYE are there too. You'd be a fool if you missed them.
