Lady GaGa is allegedly planning to release a collection of Christmas songs this December.
According to The Sun, the Judas singer is hoping to start work on the festive record, with the aim of being able to score the coveted Christmas No.1 spot.
The eccentric star is said to have divulged plans for her Xmas album to Stephen Fry, telling him in an interview for the Financial Times: "I thought it would be really sweet to do a Christmas release of GaGa and the jazz standards. I really want to do it. I've spoken to my manager."
GaGa has previously recorded a cover of Crimbo classic, Deck The Halls, titled Christmas Tree, which could feature on her festive LP.
In other Lady G news, the Bad Romance singer performed on the American Idol finale last night, and in true GaGa fashion, her stage show did not disappoint.
The 25-year old took to the stage to perform her new single, The Edge Of Glory, perching on a mountain top made of faux rocks, high above the "Idol" audience.
Our US Team reports that Lady G was dressed in a long cape and a bedazzled headpiece draped with hanging chains, as a trio of dancers were at the base of the set performing choreographed dance steps while GaGa belted high above them.
Lady G then ditched her cape and headpiece after the song's first verse, revealing a Xena the Warrior Princess-type battle-ready bikini ensemble, accented by a flowing blonde wig and an oversize cross.
Bathed in deep blue lights, she fingered at a piano that was built into her set, and wailed the song's booming, summertime-ready chorus.
The performance was well-timed to the release of GaGa's Born This Way, which hit stores on Monday and is on pace to achieve the biggest first week sales of 2011 so far.
