She was handed the LennonOno Grant for Peace gong yesterday...
The Beatles legend - at a ceremony in Reykjavik, Iceland on Tuesday (9th October).
The 26-year old was handed the gong for combining her stardom with activism and "changing the mental map" of the world.
Speaking of the Born This Way star, Ono told Reuters: "Lady GaGa is in a position of number one as a singer songwriter, and when you are number one you don't want to risk yourself. And she did."
Accepting the award in person, Lady G dedicated it to "youth empowerment around the world", while also vowing to"communicate compassionately to the world and its leaders".
The Poker Face hitmaker then told the audience: "I dare you to be compassionate in a cynical age."
Yoko has previously insisted that Lennon "would have loved" GaGa, with the 79-year old appearing on stage with Lady G and the Plastic Ono Band in a tribute gig for John in 2010.
