Lady Gaga To Replace Beyoncé As Coachella 2017 Headliner

“Let's party in the desert!”

Fresh from the GRAMMYs and her frenetic Super Bowl performance – which saw Gaga leap from the roof of the stadium – Lady Gaga will now replace Beyoncé as Coachella 2017 headliner.

Beyoncé, who is pregnant with twins, pulled out of the dual-date headliner slot on doctor’s orders.

“Let's party in the desert!” Lady Gaga wrote on Twitter alongside an updated line-up poster, as the announcement was made. Gaga’s two headline performances (15 & 22 April) at Coachella will be followed by her full world tour, which includes four UK dates.

Lady Gaga will play in London on October 9 & 11, in Birmingham on October 15, and in Manchester on October 17. Unfortunately, Lady Gaga won’t be able to play in Bognor Regis this time around.

Organisers said that Beyoncé would be back to headline the festival in 2018.

"Following advice of doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival," a statement said.

"However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."

Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar are still set to headline the festival.
