Lady GaGa is allegedly looking to set up home in Britain by purchasing a castle.

The Telephone hitmaker, is said to be interested in buying a property in either Scotland or the North of England, after falling in love with that part of the world during her Monster Ball tour.

According to the Daily Record, Lady G is not ready to settle for your usual semi-detached house, having set her sights on something a bit more extravagant.

A source told the newspaper: "No expense will be spared in her quest to make this dream come true,"

"It’s her childhood dream and she’s particularly interested in castles in the north of England or Scotland."

A local estate agent has also revealed that GaGa's desire to buy a castle couldn't of come at a better time, as she is more than likely to get a good price on a property in Scotland.

He explained: "The average time a property is on the market is eight months. That tells us much of the property is overpriced."

"The country house market seems completely static. Some prices being asked are what they would have sold for at the peak of the market."
