Lady GaGa Vows To Perform Alone In Indonesia
GaGa says she will take to the stage solo in Jakarta, if the gig goes ahead...
Lady GaGa has vowed to perform by herself in Jakarta, Indonesia after she was denied a permit to bring her Born This Way Ball to the country next month.
As we previously reported, GaGa has been forced to scrap her sold-out 3rd June show at the 52,000-seat Gelora Bung Karno stadium after Islamic hard-liners and conservative lawmakers said her sexy costumes, suggestive dance moves and "vulgar" style could corrupt the nation's youth.
The Marry The Night singer has since taken to Twitter to comment on the issue, telling her followers: "The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremists separately, are threatening violence."
Lady G went on to warn: "If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone."
She then joked: "And don't worry, if I get thrown in jail in Manila, Beyoncé will just bail me out. Sold out night 2 in the Philippines. I love it here!"
The 26-year old's gig in Jakarta was set to be the biggest show on her current Asian tour, with every seat at the Karno stadium being sold, with half of them going in the first two hours.
