Linda Perry Apologises To Lady Gaga After Claiming She Didn't Write Oscar Nominated Song, 'Til It Happens To You'

American singer-songwriter, Linda Perry, has backtracked after initially slamming Lady Gaga's Oscar nomination for her song 'Til It Happens To You', claiming she had only written one line.

In a tweet on 18th January, Perry issued 'sincere apologies' to Lady Gaga after she gave her opinionon who she thought had 'actually' written the track.

In her comments she revealed thatshe thought Diane Warren, the co-writer of the song, should solely be given credit for 'Til It Happens To You' becausethe 'Bad Romance' singer had only written one line.

After these comments made headlines worldwide, the 50-year-old singer took to Twitter to apologise to Lady Gaga, and completely backtrack on her previous comments.

The song, that has been nominated for Best Original Track,features in the documentary movie, 'The Hunting Ground', which tackles the issue of sexual assault on American university campuses.
