Lady GaGa has reportedly been told by record label bosses she is too thin and should gain weight.

The Paparazzi singer has visibly reduced in size since her rise to pop prominence, due to a strict fitness regime combined with a busy touring schedule.

Now, concerned for her health after she collapsed on stage earlier this year, bosses at Interscope have reportedly told GaGa to pile on the pounds.

“She was baffled by the request since the industry usually only wants skinny,” an insider said. “She feels like she almost can’t win either way. Her record company said she can’t continue moving at breakneck speed without eating. These habits have to end right now.”

But that’s not the only news in the crazy world of GaGa – a new biography of the star has revealed her old neighbours thought she was a prostitute!

Back in 2006, GaGa (or Stefani Germanotta as she was then) lived in a flat on New York's Lower East Side. A neighbour in the building, interviewed for the book, recalls his sister asking him, “Did you know there is a prostitute that lives in the building?”

He told the book's author: “She said, 'I saw this girl stumbling up the stairs at 4am wearing, like, nothing, and she was drunk'. And I just remember thinking, 'Oh, great. What a scummy building I live in now'."
