Damon Albarn To Headline Latitude Festival
The Blur frontman is set to release new album 'Everyday Robots' in April...
Two Door Cinema Club, Robyn, and Röyksopp, Damon will make the exclusive appearance at Latitude in July.
It is scheduled to be the only festival appearance he makes this summer.
Albarn confirmed this week that his first ever solo album, Everyday Robots, is due to be released later this year, on 28 April.
Guest artists including Bat for Lashes’ singer Natasha Khan and Brian Eno will also feature on the record.
A video for the title track, also called Everyday Robots, was released today, featuring what appears to be a plasticine skull being moulded.
The album, which is described as “his most soul-searching and autobiographical yet” apparently explores the theme of nature versus technology.
The Essex-born singer-songwriter shot to fame in the ‘90s as frontman of Britpop pioneers Blur. He later enjoyed success with cartoon band Gorillaz and alt rock group The Good, the Bad & the Queen.
