Hear Lea Michele's New Single Battlefield

Glee star Lea Michele has revealed the second single from her debut solo album.

Titled Battlefield, her vocals on the ballad are accompanied by a sparse piano line, showing off her soaring vocals to full effect.

Posting a link to the track on Twitter, she included a snatch of the lyrics: "Eye to eye we face our fears unarmed on the battlefield..."

Other words on the emotional track include: "What seemed like a good idea has turned into a battlefield."

And: "We both know it's coming/does illusion count for something?...You and I/we have to let each other go/peace will come/when one of us puts down the gun."

Her first single, Cannonball, was only released earlier this month.

Lea appears to have been relaxing and enjoying the outdoor lifestyle in California over Christmas.

She posted a snap of herself going for a walk on Boxing Day with the words: "Christmas in California:) #freshair #hike #nature"
