Gleestar Lea Michele has thanked fans for their birthday wishes as she celebrated her first birthday since the passing of boyfriend Cory Monteith.
The actress marked her 27th with a quiet night out with friends - and sent a message to her three million-plus followers on Twitter.
She tweeted: "Thank you guys for all the birthday love today :) So beyond thankful for all of you."
A source told Life & Style: "It's her first without Cory. She'll celebrate with her girlfriends and have a low-key night.
"It's going to be very hard for her. It's the first special moment celebrating without him. She really thought he'd be her husband, so it's going to be very lonely without him."
And co-star Chord Overstreet wished her many happy returns and encouraged fans to do the same.
He wrote: "Happy birthday to my dear friend @msleamichele!!! Yall make sure to Go give her a bday shout out!"
