The singer was arrested in the West End of London whilst driving in his car with his fiancée- who is also the mother of his child.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told the BBC: “Lee Ryan, self-employed, of Henley-on-Thames, is due to appear on bail charged with common assault.”

He has been bailed until he appears in court on August 27 to face the charges.

A spokesman for the star said: “Lee 100% denies common assault. He will be fighting theses charges in court.”
