Submission of Questions For MTV Asks Rita Ora Terms And Conditions
MTV Networks Europe intends to broadcast a programme provisionally entitled “MTV Asks Rita Ora” (the “Programme”). The first broadcast of the Programme is intended to take place in September 2015. MTV viewers are invited to submit a question (the “Question”) using the form on mtv.co.uk/competitions/get-your-questions-in-for-rita-ora-mtv-asks (the “Website”). We intend to select between ten (10) and twenty (20) Questions to be featured in the Programme.
These are the terms that apply when you submit any Question using the Website. Please read these terms carefully before submitting any Question as once you submit a Question you will be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms do not submit a Question.
1. OUR DETAILS
“MTV”, "we", "us" and "our" means MTV Networks Europe which is a partnership between MTV Networks Europe LLC, a limited liability company organized and existing under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and Viacom Networks Europe Inc, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA with its principal place of business at 17-29 Hawley Crescent, London NW1 8TT.
(a) “You” and “your” mean any MTV viewers submitting Questions using the Website for inclusion in the Programme in accordance with these terms and conditions.
(b) In order to be eligible to submit Questions, you must:
i. be aged 13 or over at the time of submitting any Question(s) using the Website;
ii. have parental permission to submit any Question(s) if you are under 18
iii. not be an employee or immediate relative of an employee of MTV and/or MTV’s respective parents, subsidiaries or affiliated companies or any other person professionally connected with the Programme.
3. RULES AND DEADLINE FOR UPLOADING SUBMISSIONS
(a) You may submit your Question(s) until 12:00 (BST) on 2 September 2015 (the “Submission Deadline”). MTV will not consider any Questions if they are uploaded after the Submission Deadline.
(b) You may submit as many Questions as you wish.
(c) There is no charge for submitting Questions, but internet connection/usage charges may apply, so be sure you have the permission of the bill payer.
4. SELECTION OF SUBMISSIONS AND NOTIFICATION
(a) We will convene a panel (the “Panel”) to select Questions to be featured in the Programme. The Panel will only consider Questions uploaded before the Submission Deadline and which comply with the eligibility criteria.
(b) Questions will be selected by the Panel for inclusion in the Programme at the Panel’s absolute discretion. The Panel will consider whether eligible Questions are of sufficient technical quality so as to be capable of broadcast, whether they comply with all UK broadcast regulations (including all relevant rules, regulations, codes of practices promulgated by Ofcom, including the Ofcom Broadcasting Code) and any other relevant factors the Panel in its discretion sees fit.
(c) We will not notify you if your Question or Questions have been selected for inclusion in the Programme.
5. YOUR LICENCE TO US
(a) By uploading your Question(s) using the Website, you hereby grant to us, our respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies a, royalty-free, sub-licensable, irrevocable, exclusive licence to:
i. include your Question(s) in the Programme and in any promotional material promoting the Programme; and
ii. include your name, home town and/or location in the Programme in connection with the inclusion of your Question(s)
(b) You grant us the right to edit any Question(s) in the course of exercising our rights in paragraph (a) above.
(c) We have no obligation to include your Question(s) in the Programme and may remove your Question(s) from the Programme at any time for any reason.
6. YOUR UNDERTAKINGS TO US
(a) You hereby confirm that you are the person who created the Question(s) or the person who created the Question(s) has authorized you to submit them for use and inclusion in the Programme if selected
(b) We have the absolute right to eliminate from consideration any Questions that are:
ii. sexually explicit or suggestive, contain nudity or any dangerous activity or are profane, pornographic or violent;
iii. derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group or endorse any form of hate or hate group;
iv. promoting the use of illegal drugs or firearms;
v. promoting any particular political agenda or message;
vi. revealing any personal information, including but not limited to licence plate numbers, personal names, email addresses or street addresses; or
vii. otherwise offensive or illegal.
7. GOVERNING LAW
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
