Lemar: “It’s great working with Joss”

Lemar has revealed details of his new album to MTV.co.uk " and one of those new tracks is a duet with Joss Stone called 'Anniversary'.

Its about celebrating being with someone you love and saying Its our day, he says.

Its an upbeat track and a full-on duet. As we wrote and recorded it I really got to see the depth of Josss talent " shes got a very soulful voice and shes a good songwriter. We had a real laugh too.

But despite speculation of a romance, the pair are strictly mates, he says.

In fact Lemar is still with his girlfriend of ten years and says his new album 'The Truth About Love' is all about being in a long-term relationship.

Its my take on the emotions you go through when youre in love " whether thats being happy, frustrated or feeling like your best just isnt good enough.

Its where my head is at right now and I wanted to talk about things that dont often get talked about.

The singer reveals hes also penned another track to his mum who passed away in 2004.

Its called 'Your Face' and its about another type of love " a selfless love.

I had the chance to go away and deal with my feelings about my mum and now I feel I can write about it again. I feel stronger, he says.

Lemars new single 'Its Not That Easy' is out on September 4 and precedes the album 'The Truth About Love' out on September 11.
