Leona Lewis: "I'd Date Someone Younger"

Leona Lewis has appeared to shed some light on the rumours that she's dating One Direction star Liam Payne, calling him "cute" in a new interview.

The Trouble singer has been romantically linked to Payne for months following his break-up from girlfriend Danielle Peazer, with the 19-year old previously admitting he thinks Leona is "hot."

When asked about his comments, Lewis told Look magazine: "It's very flattering to get compliments like that. It's cute. If you have a bond with someone [age] doesn't come into it.

"I'd date someone younger or older, age doesn't matter to me. Or looks, really - it's all about maturity."

Speaking of her ideal man, The X Factor star said: "I like someone who can take the reins, who knows what they want and is strong with me.

"I'm quite fiery, so they have to be able to handle that. But I do like to feel protected. Also, being artistic and spiritual. That's what's important to me. And I'd never trust a man who can't dance."

The 27-year old went on to admit that she hopes to settle down in just two years time, explaining: "I never used to think I'd get married, but then at my brother's wedding [in 2010] it hit me that I do [want to], and since then I've had loads of ideas.

"I know exactly where I want to get married, it's a beautiful place in Europe. I'd like to be married just before I'm 30, when I'm 29, but I don't know if it will happen."
