Leona Lewis Tipped For Oscar?

Former X-Factor victor Leona Lewis is set to release her new single I See You on December 15.

The song is the theme for James Cameron’s upcoming CGI packed space opera, Avatar. 

As the anticipation builds for this ambitious film, rumours that Lewis may be up for an Oscar are beginning to spread.

Leona Lewis isn’t the first big-name musician Cameron has employed to sing the theme to one of his films. Most notably, Celine Dion soundtracked his record-breaking movie Titanic with her epic ballad My Heart Will Go On. 

With his first feature film since Titanic, Cameron has brought back the same two writers and composers that helped create Dion’s song, James Horner and Simon Franglen.

The film tells the story of an alien species that must defend itself from a human invasion. It stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoë Saldana, and Michelle Rodriguez, and it set to be released in cinemas on December 18.
