Leonardo DiCaprio Almost Starred In Star Wars, Batman & Spider-Man
Woah! Leo DiCaprio just dropped a bomb that could have changed THE WHOLE OF MOVIE HISTORY AS WE KNOW IT. Or near enough .
The actor revealed that he was actually in the running to play Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars prequel 'Attack of The Clones' – who we know was played in reality by Hayden Christensen.
Speaking to 'Shortlist',he explained that he even met with series creator George Lucas about it:"I did have a meeting with George Lucas about that [movie]… I just didn't feel ready to take that dive. At that point."
And it turns out there are even more iconic movies the star, who can next be seen in Oscar-bait picture' The Revenant', didn’t feel ready to dive into. And they’re spandex-clad.
Yes, Leo was in line to play Robin in 'Batman Forever 'and as Spider-man in the 2002 movie of the same name.
"As I recall, I took the meeting, but didn't want to play the role [of Robin]," he said.
And we all know Spider-Man as Tobey Maguire (and Andrew Garfield. And now Tom Holland) – but we could have seen the Titanic star take on our fave teen superhero: "That was another one of those situations, similar to Robin, where I didn't feel ready to put on that suit yet. They got in touch with me."
Hey, there's no rush Leo!There’s always room for another Spidey reboot, right?
