Adam Lambert Slams Les Mis Singing
Former Adam Lambert has slated the new movie adaptation of Les Misérables over the actors' singing.
The talent show winner took to Twitter on Sunday (30 December) to praise the stars - but not their vocal performances.
According to Digital Spy, Lambert wrote: "Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers.
"Hollywoods movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority (sic)."
Adam's critique of the film didn't stop there.
He went on: "With that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals. I felt like I should ignore the vocals and focus on the emotional subtext - but the singing was so distracting at times it pulled me out.
"The industry will say 'these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live' but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?"
Finally, he added: "Sorry for being so harsh but it's so True!"
Lambert has previously revealed an [uuid=bb39375d-ca44-4131-b6e7-b703cf93c3cb]interest in doing a spot of acting.[/uuid]
