If Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger were to have children the chances are that they'd turn out to be beautiful, talented, funny and have brilliant hand-eye co-ordination.

So it was with some sadness that we learned the Formula One champ has revealed we are not likely to hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet anytime soon.

Speaking on This Morning, he said: "With our careers people perhaps don't understand that she lives in LA, I live in Monaco and we're in and out all the time.

"Schedules are changing all the time. She's doing Cats now, which means she's (in the UK) for the next two months, and I go away and do my training, so during the year we're always apart, but people can see there's a lot of depth there - we've been together for almost seven years."

But the 29-year-old race ace suggested that 36-year-old Scherzy would make a great mum at some point.

"She's amazing with kids, I think we're both pretty good with kids," he continued. "But we don't have time for that at the moment.

"There are so many things we want to do, but the great thing is that we support each other with it. All in good time. She's still massively young and I'm still a young man!"

We hope Scherzy was still supportive of Lewis after he failed to recognise one of her songs on national radio yesterday.
