The world basically stopped turning last week when Miley Cyrus was quite happily spotted wearing the engagement ring Liam Hemsworth gave her back in 2012.

So naturally we assumed Liley were well on their way to marriage. Again.

Except Liam "never formally proposed", according to Us Weekly, and Miley just casually started wearing the ring.

"Liam noticed," the source says of the pair, who called off their wedding in September 2013. "They are telling friends they’re engaged."

Soo if we just start wearing a ring on our wedding fingerand tell people it's from Harry Styles, that means we're engaged, right?
