Liam Hemsworth 'Offered Lead Role In Independence Day 2'
The Hunger Games hunk is reportedly in talks for sci-fi sequel...
The Wrap claims that 25-year-old The Hunger Games star Hemsworth has been made a formal offer by 20th Century Fox.
Currently dubbed "ID Forever" the sequel is slated for release next year - which will be the 20th anniversary of the original movie.
Roland Emmerich is directing and Dean Devlin producing - however original star Will Smith is not involved.
Michael B Jordan is apparently being considered for a part in the project - while Jeff Goldblum has confirmed that he has been approached about reprising his role as a computer expert who helped fight-off an alien invasion.
Hemsworth is set to be seen in western By Way Of Helena and comedy-drama The Dressmaker this year.
