You see, the One Direction babe recently welcomed his first child into the world with girlfriend Cheryl, so we thought it’d be a while until he gets back to business.

But according to PageSix, the singer has a lead track ready for fans.

“He should have a new single out in May,” an insider told the gossip site. AS IN NEXT MONTH. Isn’t that just the best news you ever did hear?

While we just hope it doesn’t coincide with Harry Styles’ album release, because surely that’s only around the corner once his single drops on Friday (April 7).

Not forgetting that this will make Liam the last of the 1D boys to release music, after Niall's 'This Town' release and Louis' 'Just Hold On' collab with Steve Aoki... But then again he has had a teeny tiny human to think about, so we'll forgive him.
