9 Celebs Who Are Totally Sleighing It At Christmas
This lot are giving Santa a run for his money...
OMG ITS CHRISTMAS LITERALLY TOMORROW!!!!!! We can only imagine the lavish gifts some of our favourite celebs have waiting for them tomorrow (remember when Beibs brought a $60million private jet last year, for himself), we reckon the stack of presents under a lot of celeb’s trees is probably bigger than most of our houses. WHICH IS FINE WE’RE NOT BITTER.
But Christmas is also a time for doing some good and the celebs who deserve to sit at the top of Santa’s list are those who use this magical time to help out those less fortune or just use their profile to do some good. Check out these celebrity bad-ass Santas who warm our hearts in the winter period.
Sprinkle of Glitter
Anyone who follows Sprinkle of Glitter’s brill Youtube channel will be familiar with her kitty, Zula (they even made this 10 minute Q&A). This year they’re both teaming up with PETA to ensure that those gifting furry friends for Christmas are giving them to a good home. Check it out here.
Tay-Tay pretty much smashes it all year round as far as we’re concerned but at Christmas she’s peak Swift. Last year she founded Swiftmas(™) and delivered adorable personalised gifts to a lucky selection of fans. So far this year she's already turned up on a young fan battling neuroblastoma's doorstep to spend the day with her in adorable fashion. Who knows what else she has planned.
This year Little Mix have joined forces with Matalan for their Beanie vs Bobble campaign. Centred on the question ‘are you a beanie or a bobble’ (we are totally a bobble) the campaign raises money for Alder Hay Hospital and Little Mix are rocking hats and having chats (raising awareness) for the cause.
Alongside other big names such as Grimmy, Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd, The Vamps have released their own charity Christmas card for with BT for NSPCC this year. So now everyone we know will be getting a Vamps Christmas card whether they like it or not, soz nan.
In probably the most Jedward move ever, the pair have joined the #Elfie4ALONE campaign this year which encourages people to share their Elfies (elf-selfies if you hadn’t guessed) and donate money to help elderly people spending Christmas alone.
Earlier this month George Clooney headed up to Edinburgh to kick off sandwich shop with a difference – Social Bite’s Christmas campaign to feed the homeless. Social Bite are entirely not for profit and rely on donations in order to stay open and provide a place to go for local homeless people this Christmas so having such a massive celeb open the campaign will go a long way. Good old Clooney.
Alesha Dixon is giving the proceeds of her Christmas single ‘People Need Love’ to The Family Holiday Association, a charity she’s an ambassador for who arrange day trips for families in dire circumstances. This is super-nice and the single makes us feel all warm and tingly inside so you should totes buy it.
5sos, All Time Low and co
Speaking of charity singles, have you heard about this new super-group!? It consists of All Time Low frontman, Alex Gaskarth 5sos’ Ashton Irwin, Good Charlottes’ Joel Madden and Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier, great bunch. Together they’ve recorded their own punk version of ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ to benefit The Ryan Seacrest Foundation. Stream the track below and get donating!
Gogglebox's Leon and June
Adorable Gogglebox faves Leon and June are starring in an Age UK advert this Christmas to help raise awareness of elderly people spending Christmas alone. The advert features the pair watching and commenting (you all know how Gogglebox works by now) on an age UK advert, its advert-ception. It’s also really sweet and raises awareness about an important issue though, so give it a watch!
Also special shout out to Bey for dressing up as an actual Christmas tree and still managing to look fabulous,
