An Instagram Model Scammed Dozens Of Men Into The Most Bizarre Group Tinder Date

That's one way to narrow down your matches

If you’re looking for a bit inspiration when it comes to narrowing down your Tinder matches, a woman by the name of Natasha Aponte has come up with the most incredible way to deduce which person is deserving of her time.

In the viral moment that has taken over the internet, the Instagram model invited dozens of men to a meet-up in New York City before taking to the stage and announcing that they’d all have to compete for her heart. Yup.

According to the New York Magazine, the model dreamed up the scheme about a month ago when she first started chatting to a bunch of matches on the dating app. After dropping off the grid for a few weeks, she then messaged each person inviting them to a meet-up at Union Square.

While each guy who turned up thought he was going on an individual date with Natasha, she let the confused crowd know what the real sitch was: “Do you have what it takes to compete against everyone here to win a date with me?” she announced on a microphone.

With the help of two “referees,” she systematically went through the crowd and eliminated anyone who didn’t meet her criteria. For example, she refused to date anyone who “doesn’t live in the country”, is “looking to just hook up,” or happens to be “under 5’10’”

It’s unknown if Natasha ever managed to find someone who fit the brief, and it’s fair to say a bunch of the men who were scammed into the meet-up had mixed feelings about the whole situation.

Still, what an idea.
