Chicken Nugget Boy Just Broke A Twitter Record And Gets Free Nuggets For Life
We’re now officially living in a world where the most retweeted tweet of all time is about chicken nuggets. COOL.
In news that has swept not only the nation but the the world, Carter Wilkinson just got the key to free Wendy’s chicken nuggets for life after some serious viral activity.
The teen in question first came up with the idea when he asked Wendy’s how many retweets it would take for free nuggets for life, to which they responded: “18 million.” And so he set about his quest, as he told the fast food chain: “Consider it done.”
Only it turns out that it’s actually really difficult to get anywhere near that many retweets, despite receiving help from Bill Gates, Ellen DeGeneres and any other celeb who wanted in on the action.
Though we imagine Ellen wishes she’d never had him on the show, after this week his tweet beat her infamous Oscar selfie to become the most retweeted of all time with 3.42 million clicks.
And because that in itself is quite the achievement, Wendy’s thought it only right to award him with his prize despite not quite hitting his target.
So there you have it, chicken nugget news is now a thing.
